Widening hips. HRT or lockdown?

I’ve never really had hips. They’ve been 35 1/2 inches for ever, since my teens and I’m now nearly 50. I started taking HRT in October and my hips have grown to 38 inches. It’s so odd. I’ve put on weight since then much more easily than I usually would. I actually lost weight in the first lockdown due to stress.

Is this just life or does HRT wife. Your hips? I’m on Oestrogel 1 pump and Utrogestan 2 tablets for 13 days.

It doesn’t really matter as I’m not going to stop taking it but it’s odd how my body has changed so dramatically so quickly.

(all I know is that) Without HRT, fat redistributing on our bodies is a standard effect of approaching/achieving menopause.

1 pump of gel is unlikely to put weight on.
I've used it for around 12 years and not found that ( 2 pumps.)
More likely you aren't using enough and it's down to slower metabolism in midlife.
