I've been on Femoston 1/10 for a year. It was fine at the beginning but symptoms are returning and my moods have become shocking.

Saw my GP who has increased the oestrogen dose and switched me to Estraderm patches. I've got Utrogestan for the progesterone which she says I should take daily (vaginally) and stop having to deal with bleeds.

I am part way into the current pack of Femoston - a few days to go before going onto the 2 weeks which include progesterone.

GP said I could stop the Femoston immediately and apply the Estraderm patch. She said to wait until the next bleed before starting the Utrogestan.

The leaflet inside the Estraderm packet says that if I am currently on HRT I should take the whole pack before starting the Estraderm patches. But it also says if I get a period then I should start the Estraderm within 5 days of starting the bleed. That will happen before the end of the Femoston pack, assuming previous experience is repeated.

I especially hate the second two weeks of Femoston, when my moods are at their worst, and would much rather just do what the GP said. But I would welcome comments from anyone else who has dealt with this, given the product leaflet gives different advice to the GP (and somewhat confusing advice to boot).
