Feeling weird at start of HRT

Did anyone else feel a bit strange when you started Hrt? I'm about ten days in, having progesterone 100mg tablet at night and 2 pumps of estrogen gel in the mornings. The prog tablet makes me sleepy, which is great at night, but I have this weird feeling all day, of being completely unwilling to do anything. Like I feel physically absolutely fine, not tired or anything, but mentally shut down and completely unmotivated. I wouldn't say I feel low, just flat, iyswim. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this? Hoping it will settle down.

Yeah I believe that's the approach they take on the continent. Not sure my gp will be on board with it
Is this a tablet? Do you just pop it up there then? 🤷🏻‍♀️

How's everyone doing? I'm on day 10 of utrogestan and now bleeding. Been horrendously weepy since Saturday. Yeah, this is usual peri PMT period crap for me. Hormones are a bastard 😭

Only possible plus so far, I might ache a bit less but not even sure tbh.

Hi! I was feeling so terribly anxious after a week of utrogestan and Sandrena gel, I couldn’t function and had to stop it. I crashed the next day but today I feel more like myself. I have a history of anxiety and am also very sensitive to hormones (pms has always been awful for 2 weeks of every month) so not sure if HRT is for me, sadly 😩

I was skeptical for ages then took plunge with hope. Now skeptical again but I'll give it another month 😩

I enjoy the sleepy woozy feeling of the progesterone personally, I feel quite anxious on the oestrogen alone. But I've been struggling with anxiety and low mood for quite a while and it was that which prompted me to try the HRT really. So a dampening of anxiety has been a plus for me during the Utrogestan phase.

ITs hard to tell what causes my anxiety; Sandrena or utrogestan. I may try again in the future as I am aware I’ve only tried it for a week 🤦‍♀️Good luck all x
