Hi just hoping someone can enlighten me as I'm clueless and not due to see gp till mid April.
Had VA and very severe bladder problems for years, lots of burning after going to the toilet.

So my doctor put me onto Utrogestan 100 (says take two tabs per day) and Sandrena 1mg gel, half to a whole sachet each day.

The first twelve days were going OK, sleeping better, burning slightly less, feeling optimistic....
Then had the option of coming off after 12 days so I did, yet continued with the gel on my thighs for estrogen.

And am now in agony - just like I used to be when trying vaginal estrogen, I swell up and find it difficult to wee. My stomach is so bloated and enormous. I'm not dry anymore but really feel like I have a baby sitting on my bladder, pregnancy feeling. Argh.

No withdrawal bleed either. I expected it because I have a history of bulky uterus /adenomyosis....

Any suggestions?
Systemic hrt was my last bit of hope!

Have you not tried vagifem? That's the normal route GPS go for VA. I have it for a year now and use one every other day and use ovestin cream on the outside once or twice a day. Why did you stop after 12 days, I don't understand. VA treatment is for life, you can never stop, or the symptoms all come back. If I miss one dose of cream I'm in agony.

My advice get on the phone and ask for vagifem as soon as possible.
