HRT Dose

Morning, looking for some help with HRT please. I have been taking Progynova (Esradiol only) 2mg for just over 1 year now & it has made a huge difference.

Recently however, I have been waking up often in the night, feeling hot, sweats etc & although no where near as before I started taking them have had my down moments - is it normal to need to increase your dose as you progress? Just wondering whether I stick with this or speak to my doctor (trying not to bother them)

I think it is normal. I have an appointment with my doctor later this week to discuss changing the dose or the type or both, as my symptoms have started coming back after 9 months on the lightest dose of Femoston tablets.

Thank you Spodge - I will speak to my Dr

Spoke to a GP. Thought my dose was too low. Was on a pill (kliofem) and a patch (evirol), both rubbish, patch hardly stays on for a day (I read loads saying the same). She's suggested a higher dose. A pill and a gel rather than a patch.

I'll give it a go. I don't understand why an implant is so hard to get. I'd rather just have it implanted and forget about it all for 6 months. Why is this not an HRT option?
