HRT Patch Doseage

Hoping for some guidance on this please. I started on 25mg Estradot patches 3 weeks ago but don't feel any different. Still anxious, still irrationally cross with things and still can't sleep. I have recently had a Mirena coil fitted. I'm 50 next month.

I'm not suffering with hot flushes etc but my periods were extremely painful and heavy and I had a hysteroscopy last month due to a polyp. I've now been prescribed 37.5mg patches by my GP.

So my question is; what dose are others on and when did you feel better?

I found the Mirena makes me emotional at first and I spot for a few weeks. I'm on my second now and think they are amazing once the initial hormone shift settles. I had the same patches and it worked very well, well until Mir became very apparent that I'm highly allergic to them but that's a different matter Grin

I know it's super tough to get motivated but are you trying to do a bit of gentle exercise each day and cut back on the sugary snacks? That's really, really helped me.

Thanks for your reply @BunnyRuddington. Am an avid dog walker and count my calories daily. Have cut out carbs too. All those things have helped I agree.

I think it's just not knowing what's peri and what's me as I've always suffered with anxiety, just not on this scale.

The year we've all had hasn't helped. I think I was hoping HRT might alleviate some of my catastrophising but maybe it's not hormone related after all!

I know, it's so difficult isn't it. The only other thing I find that helps me is guided meditation. I only do 10-15 minutes a day but can tell from how I react to things if I haven't done it.

Good thinking. I'll definitely give that a go. Thanks so much for your responses.
