Two days before I’m due I’m totally intolerant to be around in the day, then I get sad early evening, then I feel ok again but by this time I’ve rowed with dh and it’s making us miserable.

I’m only 43. I have a really good diet, I’m active, we don’t have kids or money worries so no real problems. I don’t drink routinely or smoke.

I take 3000mg soya isoflavones a day which has helped massively with energy but my mood is causing problems.

I'd say it could be PMS. Have you tried calcium? It massively helped me.

Is it your subconscious telling you the end of your child-bearing years are here?

I took Black Pepper and Peppermint supplements and took vitamin B6 when it hit me. Are you sure it's perimenopause and not anything else?

Fluffycloudland77 · 22/02/2021 20:06

I didn’t want kids so I don’t think I’m mourning for them.

You might be onto something with the calcium, I’m allergic to cows milk and soya doesn’t have as much. I get rashes off maltodextrin too so finding supplements isn’t easy.

Roll on tomorrow when the period comes.

I'm DF and SF too.

The SF is a massive pita. Strangely I can have wine (thank fuck) but tonic water with citric acid? Instant rash, concentrated lemon juice? Instant rash.

It makes no sense but it keeps you on the straight and narrow diet wise.
