Utrogestan help

Hello
I’m on low dose of oestrogeen (25mg) and on first cycle of utrogestan
Started taking it on day 15 of my cycle ( hope that’s right) and need to continue for 13 days (200mg dose)
I’m on day 5 of utrogestan ( day 20 of cycle) do I need to carry on taking it? And then when do I take it again as my cycles are unpredictable ( every 2-3months) or fo I just need to take it every month?

I was getting totally confused as to when to take it. My menopause doctor said to simplify it and take it the first 12 days of every month. Breakthrough bleeds should eventually start around day 12 ish but for the first few months that may be erratic.
I’m pretty happy with this and I’ve had cancer so being watched carefully.
But all the usual disclaimers- I’m not a medic and don’t know your history

Oh, take the oestrogen 365 days of the year.

@PlayingTheDevilsAvocado thanks, it’s my first time taking it so all new and confusing
Had Evorel conti in past and progesterone part made me feel awful but somehow these tablets make me feel better and calmer? Might be a fluke though ( hope not!)

I'm a little confused about why you wonder if you need to take it beyond 5 days when you say you are taking it for 12 days per cycle. Am I missing something :)
As PP says, take it every month. So it's easier to start on the same day each month - either the 1st of the month, or the 15th. If you are still having your own periods you might get some bleeding outside this HRT cycle, but you may not.
25mcgs is a tiny dose of estrogen so you may not bleed at all once you stop the progesterone each cycle. Good luck with it.
