Period after menopause

I’m 49 and have been on HRT for about a year. My last period was probably a year before that - so about 2 years ago. However I had a period last month - and just started another 28 days later. They seem completely period like, exactly what they felt like pre-menopause.

I wasn’t too worried as my periods disappeared in my mid 30s for about a year. So was thinking that maybe I’m actually not menopausal.

Considering the current situation, do I need to speak to a doctor?

If you a post menopause and experiencing bleeding, I think it is always recommended to speak to a GP. Might be best to get it checked out.

They should review you over the phone so might not need you to go in.

@WhiteGlaze- did you get this investigated? I have had exactly the same this last two months and have just been referred for an Ultrasound. Quite scared now to be honest although it does just feel like a normal period.

Whiteglaze please contact your GP surgery. Like pink1173 I’ve had some post menopausal bleeding and contacted surgery, I’ve an appt tomorrow at the surgery and a scan next week.

These symptoms are on the list for the two week referral pathway, please get checked out.

pink1173 hope everything goes ok Flowers
