Anything over-the-counter without contraceptive interactions?

Hi all,

I’m 40 and over the last 6 months I’ve started waking a bit sweaty at night, very anxious especially pre-period, aches in my joints and my periods have become erratic. I used to be able to set my watch by them. I’m also getting fat, but that’s totally lockdown cake consumption!

It could be stress but my Mum hit full blown menopause at 45 so I’m guessing peri? Not long moved house and having a nightmare registering with new GP; I will persevere but as a stop gap I’m desperate for something over the counter to stop me wanting to cry one week a month.

I’ve had promensil recommended, but I’ve checked and red clover can interact with the contraceptive. I’ve used the implant for about 15 years and love it, so really want to make sure it stays effective.

Any suggestions? I’ve googled til my eyes hurt but would appreciate some personal recommendations until I can start trying to talk to my GP.
