Hello

I have an appointment with meno consultant tomorrow and wondered what would be worth asking?

I am 48 and have had several meno symptoms which seem to keep changing. I am considering HRT but not 100% sure.

Thinning hair, vaginal dryness (on Vagifem), mood swings, digestive issue, early waking Sad

Just want to make the most out of the time as it's costing a fortune Smile

Tell me if they are any good! I also have the thinning hair...

I am also thinking c HRT - are you hoping they’ll prescribe? I’d like to know what their thoughts are on the recent HRT scare, and what is the safest way to take it / for how long etc.

If private consultant prescribes HRT can you then switch the prescription to NHS?

Which types of HRT help hair loss (I think some do and some don’t)

Also for lower libido (if you have that) - does HRT help or does it have to be testosterone?

BTW I just started on sertraline for anxiety and a bit of low mood - not meno related (for me) but it has definitively helped.

Good luck! And please come back and tell us!
