Hi , what’s the best HRT that doesn’t usually cause hair loss ?

I didn't know it did cause hair loss?

PerfidiousAlbion · 28/01/2021 18:45

Who told you it caused hair loss?

Applejack87 · 28/01/2021 19:28

I’m on various menopause forums & some women have experienced hair loss when taking HRT
I’m just wondering if this is quite common ?

I have the Mirena coil so had Oestrogen patches. No hair loss.

Don't take them now as I'm allergic to the patches but apparently that's really rare.

My hair is so much thicker now! Eyebrows too.

Applejack87 · 28/01/2021 20:37

No hair loss for me and I take Femoston currently. Going back on to Elleste Duet (now back in stock) and that didn't cause it either.

marriednotdead · 28/01/2021 21:28

Been on Evorel Conti for 8 years with no hair loss.
I had COVID last year, that causes hair loss.

@Applejack87 oestrogen gel daily and ustrogen capsuals 200 mg for 10 days a month. Vaginally.

Just turned 50, menopausal around 44.

I buy it all OTC in Spain (luckily) as GP wanted to put me on AD's (and still does, whenever I see the dinosaur)

Swishy, long thick wavy hair. Best in my life!!!

Applejack87 · 29/01/2021 19:49

I would like to keep HRT as natural as possible which is the better Utrogestan or progesterone ?
Apart

I have never heard of anyone having hair loss from HRT. I'm on it and my hair is gorgeous.

oneglassandpuzzled · 29/01/2021 19:55

I’m on oestrogel and the mirena coil and haven’t noticed more hair loss than usual.

I have just been px this regime but really worried about side effects. Have you found it ok?

BillieSpain · 13/02/2021 18:38

Brilliant. Not one single side effect. It stops side effects!

Why are you worried?
