9 weeks on Evoral Sequi

Hello all! I'm new here, but desperate for lots of advice 😚.

I've been 9 weeks on Evoral Sequi and I'm feeling low in mood, snuffily and anxiety 🙄 the hot face and palpitations have eased though.

I actually improved week 4 onwards generally and started to feel better but over the last week or so, I seem to have plummeted. Low mood wasn't too bad.

My patches kept falling off for the past 3 weeks or so in the shower and I have been replacing it straight away but I have seemed to have lost track with the days when to change it after, I've been 1 or 2 days out, maybe that's rocked the boat?...🤔 xx

The patches have also started to irritated my skin quite bad.

Do I push on longer with these patches? Can I try something else hrt related? I'm already on 50mg Sertraline. I have had depression and anxiety in the past, but it's always been controlled with antidepressants 😥

I'm so scared I'm never going to be back to 'me' Please help xx

Are you changing the sites where you put the patches to stop any irritation? If you're getting irritation despite rotating sites, it's likely to continue and you might need to change to something else. I'd be tempted to try and persevere for a couple more weeks, changing them at the right time to see if things improve at all.

Lots of people have to try different options before they get something that suits them. You could try a separate oestrogen (tablet or patch/gel) and more natural progestogen like utrogestan.

Thank you so much Wintertime6! The thing is too that I don't know whether my options of HRT are limited, as before I started the patches, my periods were kind of regular xx

No your options aren't limited. If you're still having periods you'll be on a sequential formulation for now like Evorel Sequi, but there are other sequential options including tablets and patches/gels. Also have a look on the menopause matters website, it's really helpful.
