Menopause and cramping

Hi just wondering if anyone has an experience of the following... I’m 57 been taking HRT for 2 years, no periods for maybe 2.5 years. Currently on Estrogel and Utrogestan.
I’ve woken today with what feels like period pains, reasonably painful and cramping down into my legs.
I’m currently in Canada and don’t have a GP, I can call the specialist private doctor I use in the UK, but just wondered if anyone else has experienced this.

Hi OP, really late response I know, but how are you now? I came onto Mumsnet tonight to look for advice and though not identical to you, it is similar. I'm almost 54 and scant periods for 3 years, not on any HRT but suddenly five days ago started with horrible period type pain and cramping all down legs too. No period though. Was this resolved for you?
