I've been having sleep problems for about 5 months. I do have a lot of stress now as going through a bad divorce but I am also very happy as have a lovely new man! I have previously had a lot of stress in my life and never had sleep problems before. I can usually get to sleep fine but I wake up after 3 hours and then wake up a few more times.
I'm 46 and wondering if it my sleep problems are down to the menopause. I am feeling a lot more chilled throughout the month whereas previously I did get emotional the week before my period was due.
I also need contraception
I have only ever used condoms before due to the lack of sex in my previous marriage!
I'm wondering if there is a contraceptive pill that might also help with sleep due to the hormones in them.
I've got an appointment over the phone with my GP this week but just wondering if anyone has any experience of this please.
