changing from sequential to continuous HRT

I have been on novofem 1mg sequential HRT for about 4 years. All through November and December I was suffering from breast tenderness so the GP advised I now change to a different HRT so she prescribed Evorel Conti patches. Weirdly within an hour of speaking to the GP my breast pain which I had literally continuously for 8 weeks just disappeared. She said I can finish my course of Novofem then start Evorel Conti the next day. Sometimes I start my bleed at the end of the pack and sometimes at the beginning of the next back (day 27 or 28 or day 1 or 2) I came on yesterday day 27 and am due to start Evorel tomorrow. All the literature says to start the continuous HRT at the end of a cycle so presumably that is fine but if I am bleeding isn't my body going to get very confused. Not sure if should wait a week and start when bleeding has finished. Can anyone help??

Follow the pack instructions- that's why they are there :)

You will still bleed for the normal amount of time as the progesterone in the combined patch is not enough to stop your bleed over the next couple of days.

Your body sorts itself out very quickly.

I had continual breakthrough bleeding on the continuous regime. For many women this settles - for me it didn't so I'm now back on sequential so at least things are predictable
