Progesterone vaginal pessaries won’t disintegrate - help

Hi all

I’ve just been started on lutigest vaginal pessaries as utrogestan was too strong for me and made me a bit bonkers. But - excuse the graphics - today bits of the tablet were coming out so they obviously haven’t completely disintegrated. Does anyone have any tips on this or ideas why? Thanks.

Never heard of Lutigest.

Are these the same as Utrogestan and did a consultant prescribe.?

I use Utrogestan and there is always some residue after using them but the caspule has obviously dissolved.

Thanks for replying. They are progesterone too and consultant prescribed. But they are chalky tablets unlike utrogestan - so the residue is part of the active ingredient which is worrying.

What dose of Utrogestan were you using?
There are many variations according to other forums and my own experience

1 100mg daily
1 200 mg sequentially- for 10 days and can be longer cycle (not every 4 weeks)
3 100mg every other day vaginally
