Ovestin two week loading dose interrupted by period?

I’m in peri, still have periods but they’re a bit irregular. Recently I was prescribed Ovestin for external soreness and skin fragility; it’s already making such a difference.

But I’m now 10 days into the initial 2 week load, and my period has started.

I feel stupid not to have thought of this before but I can’t really insert the nightly internal dose while I’m bleeding, can I? Wouldn’t the flow just carry the cream right out again, so it’ll be wasted?

Confused

It's not a big deal. You can't use the cream when you are bleeding.

Start again and carry on for another week or so, daily.

I've used it for 15 years. Most weeks I use it just once because am also on full HRT, then after a while if I start feeling sore I might use it for 5 days in row then back to once or twice a week.

You'll find what works for you.

Thanks, Jingling; I will pick up with it again once the bleeding stops.
