Irregular Bleeding

I'm 45 (46 next week) and not on any contraception apart from a copper coil which has expired, which I need to have removed at some point, was told this wouldnt cause any problems. From the middle of 2018 I have had the some months where I had had two periods, normal cycle length is about 24 days. . In 2019 this became more frequent, luckily not heavy bleeding, sometimes not much more than spotting. This month I had a normal period starting on 11th December, lasted just under a week. From Christmas Eve I have been bleeding slightly, tbh mainly happens when I go to the toilet (sorry for either and its definitely not coming from the back, tmi I know), with very little else other than this. Just wondering if its normal, in non covid times would ask my GP. I've also noticed that my tolerance to alcohol has gone down a lot just recently, just been reading that this can be a peri thing. Wondering if others have have the same experience re the bleeding.

Hi.
I have been exactly the same.
I missed a period in November, then had a very light bleed mid December..lasted 5 days.
I started to bleed again on boxing day ,very light, thought it had finished after 5 days but started again this morning..
My breasts have been in agony for over a month too..
Like you say doctors appointment is it woth it?
I'm 54 by the way so very late to the menopause.
