My periods have suddenly gone crazy in the last couple of months. I’m almost 50 and up until then apart from spotting for a few days before the proper bleed my cycle was pretty regular. Although getting shorter... often 23-24 days.
In the last 10 weeks, I have only had about 20 days of no bleeding and have been having a period for over a month now.
This was varying degrees of flow, but lightish in the main. For the past week I’ve been bleeding heavily with occasional flooding.
Spoke to the dr last week who said it definitely sounds hormonal and has referred me for blood tests and a scan.
Not really sure what I’m asking?! I suppose I’m slightly panicking I’ve got something hideous wrong with me!
