I’m 51 and have had peri symptoms for a couple of years now but still having periods regular as clockwork and not sure how much more I can take. My periods are so heavy, I pass huge clots all the time. I feel them drop out of me and it’s so gross. I now use the biggest tena pads because normal sanitary towels don’t cut it. My mattress is ruined from all the times I’ve flooded at night (despite using mattress protector etc). It hurts so much. I just want them to stop. Every month now when I see I’m having yet another period I feel so low and just want to cry. I just want it to end and then I read that I could be like this for years yet. Is it worth seeing the GP? Is there anything they can do?

Yes do see your GP. My daughter was having horrible symptoms and they put her on HRT and she is starting to feel a lot better. Good luck
