Palpitations

Hi all, haven't posted for a while but a bit wobbly tonight.
I've had palpitations for years but mildly, since being in peri anyway. Tonight I had a whopper, only one but bugger did it scare me. Anyone with palps want to tell me about theirs?

How would you describe a 'whopper'?

Palps are usually small flutters when the heart races. If you have chest pain you should see your GP.

I’ve been having them in clusters for the last few days, mainly when I lie down at night. I think I read somewhere that they can increase if you’re a bit anaemia but I may be making that up? I’ve upped my iron intake and am planning to phone the GP to see if it needs checking.

I normally have small flutters but this one was one that was really noticeable, no pain though. Panicked a bit last night. Am mid month which is when I get them so keeping an eye on it. Thanks.

I have them in the night if I’ve had some alcohol in the evening, I’ve now decided to give up alcohol.
