Ovulation and peri

I'm 38 and the last couple of months I have started to get really bad indigestion along with trapped wind bloating and heartburn when I'm ovulating For about 4 to 5 days afterwards along with an excess of CM. Could this be the start of things winding down and has anyone else experienced something like this?

I do too! I am 40 and have had this the past year or so. I still feel fertile in terms of sex drive, CM etc (not that I want more babies!), it is definitely hormonal and cyclical. Don't know if it is peri though.

By the way I found two things that have helped:

  1. Taking Senocalm at that time
  2. Avoiding chocolate, large meals etc (hard as I want loads of food at this point too)

I've sworn off wheat and gluten entirely as that seemed to make it worse. I will pick up some senocalm and give that a go. It's quite reassuring when you are not the only one

Yes me - not to alarm you but mine turned out to be huge ovarian cysts. I was admitted last week as an emergency due to haemorrhaging and had to have the left ovary removed and the right one had a 10cm cyst taken off it.

For three months previous I had bizarre symptoms including heartburn, bloating and producing gallons of CM at ovulation.

Best let your GP know about it.

Oh bugger. I hope you are okay now @Cailleach. I will have a word with the g.p see if I get anywhere.

Yes it's not normal and you need checking out to see if anything's amiss.
