Hi Ladies, while deciding on wether or not to get the mirena coil the Dr has advised that I go on azalia due to heavy and prolonged bleeding as cyklokapron isn't working, can I ask for opinions on this medication please? Thanks

Never heard of it- what exactly is it?

I was given it to stop the bleeding, Its a type of pill. I googled it and this is what it says.

AZALIA contains a small amount of one type of female sex hormone, the progestogen, desogestrel. For this reason Azalia is called a progestogen-only pill (POP). Unlike the combined pill, the POP does not contain an oestrogen hormone, but only a progestogen.

I'm just looking for feedback from anyone who has been on it. I think it also goes by the name Cerazette.
