Bipolar and menopausal. Advice please

Does anyone have any advice for me. I'm perimenopausal and bipolar. My bipolarness is very well controlled through lifestyle. I'm lucky in that I'm usually pretty level apart from severe psychosis every 10 years and awful PMT. I've been perimenopausal for about a year (Night sweats, memory loss, aches) my periods have started getting erratic.
I'm considering taking HRT. I don't take anything for my bipolar despite being offered a range of things as I am hugely reactive to medicine (even co coronal makes me punch drunk).
What I really want to know is where to go to for advice. My gp was next to useless. I want to go and say that I want to speak to an expert but who do I ask for? What do I ask for? Any help grateful received.

Forgot to add that my mood swings are out of this world bad. I've never got into such white rages before. I have to leave the house, knowing full well I'm being irrational but so angry it scares me.

Are you looking for a menopause specialist or an specialist in menopause and bipolar?

Because of the complexity of your situation you may be able to push your GP to refer you to an NHS menopause clinic if one exists in your trust

If you’re able to pay privately, some towns or cities have menopause clinics or alternatively you might be able to find a specialist via one of the large private healthcare companies like Nuffield or Spire which is what I did. This was booked through their private GP service.

Sorry, I guess you are looking for someone with experience of the combination.

You certainly won’t be the first woman to be in this position so you would think there would be some information out there.
