Hi, I'm new to the group and I'm hoping someone will have an answer for me...I'm 51 and have nearly gone a year with no periods, I've got 2 more weeks to go, so fingers crossed I wont suddenly have one. My question is, do I still need to use contraception once the year is up. Would be nice to not have to think about it anymore!! Thanks!!

You need to use contraception for two years after your last period if they stop before you are 50. If they stop after you are 50 it's just one year. So it's good news for you Smile

Fingers crossed for the next two weeks!
