Does HRT help with tearfulness?

My main symptom is crying too often at random things. It's driving me mad. Does HRT help with that?

Also I have days of feeling very flat or miserable but I find it hard to know if that's perimenopause or my circumstances (some health issues, job hunting, covid).

I've been peri since 2012. My mood this month has been appalling. I'm over sensitive to a point where I think I'm actually jealous when a certain person (no feelings there apart from friends) even so much as laughs or talks with another person... Completely irrational. Bloody stupid. Was 8 days late. Horrible.

I found HRT did help a lot with tearfulness and low moods. It hasn't removed them totally but now at least I know any low mood is "genuine" rather than hormonal.

I have just stopped Evorel Sequioa patches as I was getting stabbing pain in both breasts and I think for the first half of the month it did improve my mood but the second half I was as bad as before HRT. I have good and bad days now and lately have been feeling flat like you say. I'm not sure I want another type of HRT. I don't feel happy having it as DM had breast cancer at 60.
It's difficult to know what to do.
Good luck whatever you decide.
