Weight loss

Unfortunately I’ve reached the age where weight just doesn’t come off any more. I’ve developed a belly that didn’t used to be there.
I do exercise, an hour of cardio type every week and 60 mins of walking most days.
Unfortunately I love my food and get hangry if I’m not fed !
So are there any tips you can offer to help me lose weight but still feel satisfied ?
I know that I need to change the way I eat for the rest of my life.
Thanks.

The only thing that works for me is less food overall and especially hardly any carbs. So I'll rarely eat bread, (no more than 2 slices a day) pasta, pastry, cakes, biscuits, sweets, and have just small portions of brown rice or potatoes. Typical day is eggs or porridge or yoghurt/ fruit, then homemade soup or salad and some kind of protein with it for lunch, then dinner is fish, chicken, lean meat, at least 3 veg, fruit, yoghurt. Exercise alone won't make you lose weight unless you are seriously working out daily .

I’ve just started calorie counting: it’s actually surprising how much you can eat and focuses the mind recording everything!

I’m not obsessive about it as o like a glass of wine and sometimes can’t be arsed, but it’s really stopped me eating for the sake of it.

I’ve also gone back to proper exercise. Two weights sessions a week; two boxing classes; C25K and yoga once a week.

Really hoping to see results as I’m fed up of this massive belly.
