56 and no signs.....

Am I unusual? I still have a monthly period, same as ever to the exact day every month and no other symptoms of peri/menopause.
A friend said I should speak to my Dr as it’s not normal to get to 56 and not be in the menopause.

It's not usual, but late-onset menopause isn't unheard of. Do you happen to be overweight?

I didn't have any symptoms at all until I was 53. I'm 56 now and have started to have some. I'm a size 8-10, not sure if that's relevant My GP (when I was seeing her about something else) wasn't bothered.
