So perimenopause symptoms started earlier this year. I recently went on the minipill for contraception (around 6 weeks ago) but have come off it due to bleeding every few days and generally feeling like I'm going crazy. I havebt been sleeping, getting sweaty and hot flushes. Very unpredictable mood and very low, brain fod, memory issues. After a phonecall with make GP, very quick call at that, he prescribed Femoston. I had to pay 2 x prescription price for it. I guess I'm worried! I am 44 soon, started period age 9. On the verge of splitting with new partner as Im so embarrassed re uncontrollable mood swings. I dont want him to see it.
Does this medication help? I dont know where my cycle is so I have started today.
