I started HRT in June (sandrena gel every day, and provera tablets from day 17-28). The GP (and provera package) said I should get a withdrawal bleed at some point... likely once I'd finished the provera part, and was back on the gel alone. Sure enough, the first month, this happened. Annoying, as I hadn't had any periods since Aug 2019 and was quite enjoying that, but fair enough.
But since then, there has been almost nothing... very faint spotting for a day or two each month, and nasty cramps and so on beforehand, but not proper bleeding. Is this OK? I'm hoping it's just that some women don't bleed much on HRT. Or maybe I'm storing everything up for a mega-heavy one in a month or so oh, joy? I'm just a bit wary that if the oestrogen is causing the womb lining to build up, and it's not going anywhere, the risk of something going wrong with the lining (cancer etc) arises. I could ask the GP, but it's such a faff to get an appointment at the moment, I thought I'd turn to the wisdom of MN.
