FSH testing for perimenopause

Hello all

I'm 42 and recently was tested for perimenopause and the FSH level on day 4 of my cycle was 13.5. They wanted to repeat this so it was repeated on day 21 (🙄) and the result came back as 2.7.

Do you think i should ask for this to be done again on day 3 of my next cycle? The comments the last time were that the numbers were 'satisfactory' but i wondered if a drop from 13.5 to 2.7 is normal?

FSH tests should be done on days 2-5 of 2 consecutive cycles- not after ovulation on day 21.

Thanks - yes this is what i thought. So essentially the second test is meaningless? If so, I'm thinking i should ask for it to be done again.
I guess i just wondered why they would even have bothered in the first place? And does a result as low as 2.7 at that point in my cycle mean anything?
