Perimenopause rash?

Hi, I am hoping for advice and if any one has experienced what I am going through. I think I am in perimenopause but I don’t know for sure as I don’t get what I think would be classed as hot flushes, and the doc doesn’t seem to know much. Last time the doc was googling about menopause symptoms when I went, and just said maybe I am in peri!
I am 47, have missed periods over the years. Recently periods have been very random, either very short cycles less than 20 days but sometimes had over 40-50 day gaps and everything in between. Also had very heavy periods but ok at the moment. So these are my symptoms that I have had over the last year, but they tend to go after some time:
Indigestion/heartburn
Pins and needles
Aching muscles
Feeling of tooth problems, but actually nothing wrong when see dentist
Anxiety
Headaches and sore throats that come and go but don’t lead to anything like a cold or flu
Feeling hot at times but not sweaty
And now recently to top it off I have a rash that has spread all over my face and neck and feels very itchy at times, warm to touch and my face feels like sandpaper. When I look at the rash it’s very tiny pimples.
I am considering going docs but the last time they took bloods before lockdown, everything was fine. I feel like I am wasting time going there as I get no answers, but on the other hand when i experience these symptoms, I wonder if it’s some other illness that I should get checked out! Feel like I am going mad! And my period is very currently very late, over a month and that’s not usual for me.

A rash isn't a sign of peri in itself BUT skin conditions can flare up during hormonal c hanges. It could be something perhaps like rosacea or eczema which may have been there very slightly but not triggered.

Maybe see a dermatologist about your skin? You may have to wait months for an NHS appt so is a private appt an option for you?

I have always had a tendency to get dermatitis especially when younger and I remember I had a similar thing happen when I was pregnant so I think it’s maybe skin flaring up because of peri. I don’t think it warrants a specialist seeing it. But thanks for the suggestion, JingleHellsBells. Just seeing if there are any solutions to help me in the meantime, and really just seeing if others were going through the same symptoms....kind of wanting some kind of confirmation it’s peri and not me going mad. But don’t think I will ever get proper diagnosis that’s it’s peri! Anyway, I bought some Eurax cream and that is helping!

Peri-menopause is a very confusing time and there is no set pattern of symptoms.

I follow an excellent menopause specialist called Dr Louise Newson. Her website is very informative and empowering. Take a look at her site and then you can book an appointment with your doctor, armed with relevant information, and more specific to you.

Unfortunately, a lot of GPs are not well versed in menopause, and unfortunately for us women a lot of the symptoms are vague!

Mint I had the rash thing for a while, and I assumed it was another peri thing. Mine was on my upper chest, didn't spread to my face. It did eventually go of its own accord. IIRC I had it for about 3/4 months. I didn't actually use anything on it.
