Is this the peri-menopause?

I'm 39 but in the last 2 weeks I've woken up in the night a couple of times completely drenched in sweat. Is this how it starts??? I asked my mum when she went through menopause as I think that is an indicator when I will but she can't remember

Do you have any other symptoms at all? Night sweats and hot flushes are two key symptoms - but it’s the other stuff alongside it that makes it more likely

I've looked at the 34 symptoms & I don't think I have any others so presumably I was just hot I know what else to look out for now though!

Thanks for that @MabelMoo23 I was wondering about this too, I surprisingly have 17 of the symptoms so now I'll get ready to ride this wave.

I had night sweats in my early 30s and was eventually diagnosed with hypothyroidism- might be worth getting some tests done by your GP in case it's something else - and they could also check your FSH level to tell you if you are starting perimenopause. 39 does seem quite young though. It's a shame your mum can't remember!

I was 28 when I started my menopause it’s one of the most horrendous things I’ve ever had to go through. Thankful no at nearly 40 I’m coming out the other side.
