Diarrhoea/constipation! Argh!

I'm 52 and not had a period for almost three years so presumably I'm at the post meno stage?! I still get the odd hot flush, still feel completely washed out the majority of the time, still feel bloated, still get swollen ankles, headaches and still suffer with constipation and/or diarrhoea.

It's the stomach issues that are really getting me down, so much so I dread having to leave the house. I've always had an issue with dairy so tend to keep that out of my diet but I've recently found cutting out gluten has helped too but I'm still getting bouts of diarrhoea. I drink plenty of water and I do watch carefully what I eat.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to know what else to do to get my digestive system back on track. I don't take HRT. I do take Menopace every day plus a turmeric tablet due to a knee injury, both of which are dairy and gluten free. I don't really have much of an appetite these days either which I'm not sure if it's me not wanting to eat cos I don't want to be rushing to the loo or I'm simply not hungry.

Immodium has definitely become my friendly lately, as has rennies due to the occasional indigestion. Fortunately I work from home so I've been able to carry on with that and that's helped kept me sane.

I can have diarrhoea for a couple of days and then I'm fine for a day or so and then have terrible constipation for a day. I've even stopped eating in the late afternoon/evenings and don't add sugar to anything either. I had to give up alcohol a few months ago too as it would trigger hot flushes.

Any ideas on what else I can do?

Sorry I have no ideas, I get occasional diarrhoea too, but it's mostly in the morning at home so is manageable. Hope someone else who can help comes along.

I also suffer appetite loss for 2-3 days during or just after my period.
