Ovestin is for vaginal dryness and associated conditions like bladder problems caused by loss of estrogen. It is only absorbed in the vagian and won't do anything for any other symptoms. If you used Ovestin for a whole year, you'd only get the same estrogen dose as in one day of systemic HRT.
