Differences between utrogestan & medroxyprogesterone

I have been given medroxyprogesterone but wondered if I should be taking utrogestan. Can anyone explain the differences/risk between the two. I would be so grateful.

Utrogestan is micronised progesterone and natural made from yams.

MPA is synthetic and not the same formula as our own progesterone.

There is some research showing than breast cancer risk is slightly lower with Utrogestan and MPA seems to have the highest risk of all progesterones. (Talking 1- 3% difference so not huge.)

Thank you I appreciate your advice. I think I might go back to my doctor.
