Prickly, buzzing body

Does anyone else experience prickly skin and tingling/buzzing feeling all over including tinnitus during peri-menopause? Also a pretty horrendous nervy feeling with jangling nerves. Been put on progesterone cream as it was too low for current level of estrogen (which is falling but not too low yet). It's a horrid feeling and pretty constant all day and night. Help?!!

I think I have this - not tinnitus yet but certainly the prickly skin thing. Would be interested to hear how you get on with progesterone cream. I'm an anxious person anyway but this has been exacerbated 10 fold.

Yes yes yes! I had all that, plus tremors and twitching, of the legs, arms and eyes. The tinnitus was so bad at times, it woke me up from sleep.

I tried different hrt but none help. This significantly reduced once the menopause kicked in. I do still have a bit of tinnitus, usually after a few bad nights, but it's much lower key and manageable. No more tremors, and twitching only happening for a week or so every 3 to 6 months.

I have anxiety anyway and what with the peri. and covid my prospects of returning to work anytime soon are limited. I'm currently looking at starting a small on-line business and I think I will plough my efforts into this for the time being.

Has anyone else struggled to function because of peri/had to adapt their lifestyles?

Sorry, I meant to post on another thread and will do so there but still a question worth asking.

I know what it’s like. I’ve had tinnitus for quite a while now too. I only actually realised quite recently that a lot of the symptoms I’ve been having are likely to be related to peri menopause. I have tingling, burning hands and feet. Buzzing in legs. Twitches all over- I really hate that- and legs feel sort of shaky. I feel like I’ve aged really quickly lately too. Anxiety is pretty much through the roof most days. I had no idea peri menopause even existed up to a few years ago and when I heard of it at first I thought it was about changes in periods and maybe a couple of other symptoms. Absolutely no idea it could be this hellish!

I have a strage feeling like im vibrating at times. I also have burning itchy tingly palms and feet.
Do any of you have red blotchy palms??

I’m past the menopause and I still get this about once a week.

@Goodcoffee You say you have been given progesterone cream; is this by an NHS GP/ dr?

Progesterone cream AFAIK is not available for menopause, because it is not absorbed in enough quantity to make any difference.
Also, no menopause specialists would test your progesterone as it's always low anyway except during the 2nd half of the month after ovulation.

Have you been to an alternative practitioner or someone offering off licence products?

Please be careful as a) they are not licensed and b) don't work.

Apologies in advance if this is some kind of mainstream product.
