Utrogestan affecting my mood?

I’ve recently been swapped the Ultrogestan tablets due to the supply of patches and not being able to get them.

I’ve only been taking them for about 5 days and boy, my mood has gone to pot. I feel like I’ve got raging PMT - quick to anger, irritable, unsettled. Tearful....you get the general idea.

I hate them! I just want the patches back!

I’m not sure I can cope with this - has anyone else found this with them? Is there another alternative available?

I started taking HRT to help with symptoms like this and it just seems pointless to take something that’s putting me back where I was...

Just stick with it for a few days- you're taking them for 12 days? You might find that with the next cycle it's a lot easier.

I believe you can take them vaginally to reduce side effects as this is how they are prescribed in other countries . That might help .

Yes, you can use ot vaginally- just pop them up at bedtime as far as you can reach.

@JinglingHellsBells do you know if this method affects intercourse if there is contact with the tablet the next morning?

If you want to have sex on the days you insert the capsule, I'd imagine you need to give it a good few hours to dissolve and be absorbed. so using it at night and having sex straight away won't work but you could insert if afterwards. You can insert it at any time but if you are walking around it might drop out a bit before it's all absorbed.
