Anyone used pill to help with peri symptoms

Im 42 & have been experiencing peri menopause symptoms for some time now.
I went to my gp to discuss options and she says the combined pill (orveena) should help replace some of the hormones & reduce heavy periods as I could take 3 packets consecutively.

As I havent missed any periods yet she wouldn’t consider hrt. She also said blood tests were a waste of time due to hormone fluctuations.

Has anyone tried this approach?

Also if I stay on the pill, how will I know when Ive gone through menopause? I never thought to ask her this?

Havent bern on the pill since my 20s and not sure if it will agree with me or just make low mood and anxiety worse.

Ive read that years ago I must dig it out again. Ive tried the natural approaches with little success.
Im drained from heavy periods and other symptoms & cant continue as things are.

No.,and neither should you. It is worth having a reread. do you know why your periods are heavy? I suffer as well but mine are due to a fibroid.

Mine are due to fibroids but seem to be getting progressively worse. Ive decided Im getting the coil, which is the first treatment for fibrouds according to my gp.
