I’m 49. Ever since my periods cane back l after DD was born 8 years ago, they have been very light. This, and putting on a stone or two, are the only things that have made me think “peri”.

4 out of the last 5 nights I have woken up really hot. Had to kick off the duvet, but sweaty. The weather has not even been that warm, and I was just in thin cotton PJs.

Is this the start of hot flushes? Any other delights I have to look forward to?

Yes could be. Look forward to waking up multiple times for a pee, mood swings, brain fog, rage, total loss of libido, multiple mysterious aches and pains and the growth of a rather fetching moustache.

I have a sudden onset of 'heat' three times in the last couple of weeks and am also starting to panic! I'm only bloody 50Hmm Is this it?

BikeRunSki · 05/07/2020 07:46

@MrsWembley we can do this. I’m 50 towards the end of the year.

I havn’t had any “heat” in the day time, just at night.

I hadn’t had it at nighttime til last night - weather like that is not what you want to have to open a window onto, but oh, that wind felt good!
