Peri menopause - muscles

Hi
I guess I have been in peri for about 2 years – I am 48. Irregular periods, ie every 2-3 weeks, - either ridiculously light or floods, or missing go for 4 months, forgetfulness, bloating, tiredness etc.

More recently I have been having muscle twitches and sometimes jerks. I initially thought this might be related to COVID19 which I may have had in April and still suffering some symptoms with, but now thinking this may be more likely to be peri related.

Has anyone else experienced this, and found anything which helps? I probably could do with more exercise, but that has been lacking lately.

It could be Restless Leg Syndrome. I've always had it, but it's been much worse since peri kicked in. There's a lot of research to say it is worsened by low iron levels - could you be anaemic?

I'm not sure to be honest but possible. I'll have to try to get it checked. Thanks
