Hi, just thought I’d share my experience with Kliofem. I’m 54, and said I’d never go on HRT but I became desperate. I was getting hot flushes or let’s call them drenchings every half hour, all day & night with barely any sleep. 10 days in and the hot flushes had gone but by week 3, I started Cramping and bleeding every day, diarrhoea, and nausea. I thought I’d carry on with it until my 12 week review, but the bleeding got continuously worse, flooding with huge clots. Week 11, I had a telephone consultation with a different GP and was told they put me on the wrong one as I was still having irregular periods prior to taking HRT. I switched to Femoston 1/10 sequi and the bleeding, diarrhoea and nausea stopped within one week. It’s been nearly 4 weeks since starting Femoston and so far so good.

That’s a good end result, but a shocking example of GP ignorance about menopause and HRT.
