I've got to 6 and 8 months and then gone back to 2 months, now it was 5 months and then I felt really ill one day and then got a tiny bleed the same day and then a full on period the next day.

I'm in my mid 50s so will be glad when this finally ends.

I’m 49 and it’s been 11 months so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that’s it now

The average age in the UK is 51.

I was somewhere between 53 and 54.
I definitely had a light period at 53 and then some spotting later which may have been linked to HRT but not sure. It was investigated at the time.

It's very very unusual to have periods at 60.
Some women may think they are having a period then but it could be vaginal atrophy- the vaginal walls bleed (even without sex!) My mum had this - very bloody discharge - and it could easily look like a period.
I'm a bit sceptical of stories of women saying they were 60. It's not impossible. But...

and worse case, there are some women who have odd bleeds at that age and it's something more serious like womb cancer, but they don't realise that.

My last period after18moths of irregular ones was on Christmas Day.
Dreadful hot flushes, insomnia and weight gain for the past six months.
Now a super heavy period with proper gripey period pains.
I've read that big changes in diet and exercise can sometimes restart periods again, or at least bring one on.
Maybe that's what's happened, as I've just started running again and am really trying hard to lose the stone and half that's crept on since Christmas.
I'm 53.
