After two decades of gynae based misery, my consultant has circled back round to hormonal intervention. I have never been able to tolerate this and have tried EVERYTHING over the years. However, my body is going crazy (extreme bloating/back pain/off the chart Pmdd anxiety etc.) so they've insisted I try a three month course to see if removing the hormones help with symptoms and, if they do, we can go down the surgery route again for my endemetriosis, adhesions and cysts.

I'm really anxious about it and felt pressured into making a decision there and then. The last time I had hormonal intervention, it felt as though I got every flipping side effect going. I went into extreme depression, then rage, had significant weight gain, skin was awful, sleeplessness etc. I now have DC (after 5 years ttc and much help) and I'm really scared I'm going to go mental again.

I guess I'm hoping someone can reassure me or at least prepare me for what is to come.

Thanks
