Any sign of any kind of Everol patches?

I can't get on with this messy gel and am desperate to get patches again. I can't do Estraderm patches or others they seem to send me dollally.

I read online that evorel sequi were available again from May 2020. I contacted my GP and got a prescription. They have a pharmacy in the surgery and I collected 3 months worth yesterday.
So it might be worth ringing up to find out.

I hate the gel (which is odd as I wanted it when I was on patches)

I can't wait for evoral Conti to come back

LunaFortuna · 19/06/2020 00:06

I got my Evorel conti patches a few weeks ago - first time they had any in ages. Definitely worth calling the pharmacist.

TBeats · 19/06/2020 10:55

Thanks I'll try. What's the difference between Sequi & Conti. Is one continuous?

OP posts:
KatyMac · 19/06/2020 11:51

Yes Evoral sequi is 4 (I think) Evoral 50 and 4 Evoral conti

Whereas I take/apply conti everytime

KatyMac · 22/06/2020 20:07

Apparently Superdrug have them in stock even if my local chemist haven't (& they say they won't have them for some time)

Should I buy them?

KatyMac · 23/06/2020 10:26

So I ordered them - I need stable hormones more than I need money!

TBeats · 26/06/2020 21:40

Absolutely! So do I

It was a very complex discussion with the gp

ThousandsAreSailing · 26/06/2020 22:02

I like the gel and a tablet. It doesn't come off when I'm hot and sweaty

KatyMac · 26/06/2020 22:30

tbh it's all I can do to get it off - it sticks possibly too firmly

Whereas waiting the 30 mins while the gel dried morning and evening drove me potty!! It took forever to dry!! Plus the headaches, the nausea, the queasiness

It's it great they have different type for different people?

KatyMac · 26/06/2020 23:22

OMG - I thought I was having a reaction to the gel/tablet but maybe it's because it's not the

MachineBee · 26/06/2020 23:25

I prefer the gel to the patches as they left adhesive marks on my bum.

I don’t find it takes too long to dry and have a routine to enable this.

KatyMac · 26/06/2020 23:36

I have problems with gels and creams and absorption anyway

But I am back on my patches and the adhesive marks are a small price to pay imo - so grateful I could afford to buy them rather than wait!

TBeats · 29/06/2020 13:15

Twospaniels can I ask where you are in the country. My local pharmacies all have no sign of Evorel. I'm suspecting a regional bias here. Some people down south have had no interruption. My wholesalers report no stock available through Alliance or AHA

KatyMac · 29/06/2020 13:17

There is info on Menopause Matters about patch availability I think

Busylynn · 01/07/2020 22:46

I got my evorel conti doc prescription filled at Lloyd’s pharmacy I had to wait three weeks for it though!

barbites · 01/07/2020 23:53

I got Everel patches today 👍

TBeats · 02/07/2020 08:56

Shock (still waiting)

OP posts:
KatyMac · 02/07/2020 09:10

Maybe I jumped and paid too soon but I am so much happier on my patches I don't care!!

barbites · 02/07/2020 13:40

It's my first time with them, I've got 50's and conti (I think) How long does it take to work?

KatyMac · 02/07/2020 13:55

So will you do 4 x 50 patches then 4 x conti patches?

For me insomnia was my problem and I slept with in an hour of putting in the patch - but I had been 6 weeks of medical menopause so I was desperate!

barbites · 02/07/2020 14:15

@KatyMac yes but 2 weeks of one patch and then 2 of the other. Sleep also a big issue for me....slapped the patch on yesterday and had the best nights sleep last night, thought it must be a coincidence!

KatyMac · 02/07/2020 14:52

When I was on them I timed it so it was 3.5 days on each = 4 days was too long and if I used 3 days I finished too early

For me it wasn't a co-incidence and I really needed to sleep - I have chronic fatigue and I was hallucinating through lack of sleep!
