HRT patches shortage coming off HRT experience

I’ve just used my last patch been told there is none left in the country. . I don’t want the gel and tablets as I have gut problems. Anyone come off cold turkey? If so what are your experiences?

Not sure if this is of any help but lots of people take the Utrogestan vaginally rather than orally - so the gel and tablet option may be possible if you could do this as you would avoid the gut? Just thought I’d mention it.

My understanding is that it's oral estrogen that can cause gut issues, not the progesterone side of HRT.

I've used gel and Utrogestan for years but have recently switched to using the Utrogestan vaginally which my consultant recommends as it may be safer and fewer side effects.

You could give it a go?
