Progynova TS 50 and Utrogestan 200mg capsules..HELP needed .
I have been on Evorel sequi for a year now and everything was going great until now . Sadly I can't get my patches at the moment so my doctor has prescribed progynova TS 50 patches and utrogestan capsules. Sadly I've not been told how to do the patch pill combination 😥
I have looked at the patient information leaflet and I still have no idea😥.
Do I wear a patch all the time ?
Or should I have no patche when taking the tablets ?
Hope someone can help me out with this .

I looked at the info online before posting this....it seems slightly odd information.

Patches are usually worn all the time (no HRT has estrogen that is for only 3 weeks out of a month.) However the patient leaflet online (assume you have read the real thing in your pack) says leave a week without the patch. That's not usual.

I'd go with what the instructions are for all other HRT which is estrogen daily and Utrogestan 12 days per cycle, usually from day 15.

Hi. I believe it's a different regime for those who no longer have periods.
Not exactly the same as you but I'm on Estradiol 75 patches and Utrogestan 100 capsules for menopause. My instructions are to change the patches twice a week and take the Uterogestan every night.

I'm still having a period each month.. I have to say I'm getting so stressed and upset by all of this.. I think I may have to ask my pharmacist for help... no point t going to my doctor he will just google it like I have 😥

Why are we having a HRT shortage AGAIN..😡

@Chierrie The pharmacist will only read the leaflet and tell you the same thing. They are not going to be able to say anything else.

It tells you how often to change the patch. Unlike other patches it says leave off for one week as part of the cycle (so that would be week 4) but no other estrogen only patch does that so I'd use it every day.

The utrogestan you take for 12 days starting around day 15 (counting day 1 of the cycle from the first day you bleed with your natural or an HRT 'period'.)

@JinglingHellsBells thank you for all your help. I do believe it was you that helped me out when I was asking if I should start using HRT.

Do I still use a patch when taking the tablets?
I'm really sorry i can't get the hang of patches and tablets....
Give me back my evorel sequi

@JinglingHellsBells
Sorry if I keep asking the same thing ..I'm dyslexic and something it takes a lot of input before I get it .

That's okay Smile

You should have estrogen daily, so that's right- patch AND tablets .

With Evorel sequi, the patches for the 2nd part of each month contain the daily estrogen AND progesterone.

All you are doing now is adding the progesterone yourself for half the month.

Thank you for all of your help
