My last period was Sept 2017 and I have been on HRT Femoston Conti since March 2019 due to worsening symptoms and it seems to suit me.
Following a bleed in Nov 2019 I underwent ultrasounds, hysteroscopy and biopsy and thankfully got the all clear in Jan 20.
Then today - a period, proper full on, cramps and heavy feeling.
Has anyone any experience of this? Am I back at the beginning? Will phone my GP tomorrow but thought I would pick the Mumsnet brain in the meantime.

I don't think you need contact your GP TBH. It's only 4-5 months since you had all the investigations and too soon for anything else to go wrong.

How old are you now?

You are possibly/ likely having a natural period.
This can happen especially in women put on conti too soon ( often under age 54 or just 12 months after a 'final' period.) But it can happen later.

The reason for the bleed is probably you are still ovulating or your own estrogen is still high and not being controlled enough by the dose you are on. You've had 2 bleeds in 3 months (Nov and Jan) which seems to show you are not quite through peri yet, despite it looking as if you were all over it.

I understand it's worrying you but your GP won't arrange another scan etc so soon.
