Sudden new symptom of heartburn - anyone else?

So I know there are many symptoms of the dreaded menopause but this one is new to me! Heartburn - developing mid afternoon - not eating anything different but did take a prescription migraine pill on Saturday as had an unshift able migraine - could it be that ? I have to take metopclpramide when I take these which are always a last resort or is this a new ailment to add to the others? Had 2 days in a row now. I've been on HRT for 18 months now so any ideas on things that work to get rid of it welcome - thanks folks

Is heartburn listed as a side effect of that med?

I think you should monitor it, take something innocuous like Gaviscon, but if it doesn't shift see your GP soon. Talk to a pharmacist in the chemists if you can.

You ought to see your GP to at least rule out anything serious like heart disease and 'new' heartburn for no reason needs checking anyway to make sure it's nothing nasty going on in your stomach as well. Get yourself checked out.

Thanks just checked side effects and does mention indigestion so will give it a couple of days maybe that’s it as took the med only once on Saturday night - also very bloated around the lower stomach but do have a period so that could explain that !
